JQY is a free social networking app designed for iPhone users. Developed by Jqy Inc., this app aims to support and empower LGBTQ youth in the Jewish community. With a special focus on teens and young adults from Orthodox, Chasidic, and Sephardi/Mizrahi communities, JQY strives to ensure the emotional and physical health and safety of these individuals.
The app provides a platform for members of the Jewish queer community to connect and find support. It also offers spaces for parents and siblings of JQYers, as well as a forum for mental health professionals to engage with the community.
Upon joining the app, users' profiles become searchable to all other app users. Your chosen name, profile picture, and pronouns are visible to everyone. However, if you have concerns about privacy, you can use a different chosen name to protect your identity. Your personal information, such as your real name, email, date of birth, and zipcode, can only be seen by you and JQY staff. It is encouraged to provide accurate information to receive the best support from JQY.
